Our Vision

In 2001 the SMBC family began exploring the relevance of expansion of the present facility. As the church began to collaborate with various entities to provide ministries, it became apparent that additional space would be needed. Since 2001 the church has been engaged in an annual capital campaign, called the "Future Development Fund". The church began Phase I of the expansion in June 2005 and dedicated the new building on April 30, 2006. Phase I houses the administrative area, a conference room, five classrooms, a computer lab, and a youth area. Phase II will be the construction of a regulation size gymnasium.

The long range vision for the church is to provide multi-ministries opportunities for a broader group of youth, families, and seniors. There is hope to develop the remaining acres of land in some permanent housing opportunity for individuals. The ultimate vision of SMBC is to become a church that daily provides services to its members and community.
